Privacy Policy
Effective: May 2026
What we collect
- Account data: username and a hashed password when you register. Email address if you choose to provide one.
- Journal entries: stored in our database. Only you can access them through your account. We do not read them for any purpose.
- Breath sessions: pattern, cycle count, duration — used only to show your own history.
- Analytics (optional): if you accept, we log anonymous page views server-side. No personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking, no third-party analytics scripts.
What we never do
- Sell your data to any third party.
- Use your journal entries for advertising, model training, or any purpose beyond storage and display.
Cookies
We set one session cookie (required to stay signed in) and one consent cookie
(beal_consent) that remembers your analytics preference. If you decline,
no analytics scripts run. Clear beal_consent any time to reset your choice.
If you provide an email, we use it to send account verification links. Email is optional — you can use beal.one without one. Contact us at hello@beal.one.
Data storage
Journal entries are stored on our servers, protected by access controls and private networking. All transport is encrypted with TLS. We do not apply additional application-level encryption to entry content. If you need end-to-end encrypted journaling, beal.one is not the right tool.
Data retention and deletion
Your account and all associated data are deleted within 30 days of a deletion request. Email privacy@beal.one to request deletion.
